Before and after left earlobe repair and repiercing in a 45-year-old woman. She believed that years of talking on the phone and holding the earpiece to her left ear had caused stretching of the left earlobe piercing, causing it impossible for her to wear stud earrings without them falling through the hole.
A lobule repair and immediate repiercing was performed in the office, under local anesthesia. After surgery, she wore an approved gold hoop earring for three months during healing.
Follow up photos are shown 1 year after surgery. She took her stud earrings out for this photos, and reports that she no longer worries about which earrings she needs to wear. And she has switched to hands-free phone calls while at work!
