Before and after bilateral earlobe repair and repiercing in a 62 year old woman. Her childhood ear piercings had stretched, resulting in a low placement of the hole on her earlobe which had grown over her adult life. When she wore earrings, they hung even lower and stretched her lobule more.

An earlobe repair obliterated her old piercings and repaired the old hole. Her lobules were repierced up higher to allow her to continue to wear earrings during the healing period. We recommend a piercing stud that has a thick post and that clicks twice to lock during healing, or a small hoop earring that can be rotated through the hole to allow for smooth healing.

Follow up photos are shown six weeks after surgery. The last set of images shows her pulling her earring to the side to show the repair. She will leave these hoops in place for another 6 weeks before changing her earrings.
