Before and after abdominoplasty and circumferential liposuction of the abdomen, flanks, pubic region and upper inner thighs in a 47-year-old woman. She had postpartum separation of her rectus abdominis muscles and stubborn excess fat and lower abdominal skin from having children - which she loved dearly, but disliked the appearance of her abdomen.

A tummy tuck removed over two pounds of excess skin and fat from her lower abdomen. Her rectus diastasis was repaired back together in the midline using a four-strand repair using a strong nylon suture. The body heals around the sutures to protect it and ensure a permanent, durable abdominal wall repair.

Her abdominal skin was pulled down snugly, and her belly button was brought out through a new skin opening - same belly button, new scar around it. Liposuction removed nearly three liters of excess fat from her upper and lower abdomen, pubic region, flanks all the way around (some people call this “lipo 360”) and her upper inner thighs.

Follow up photos are shown 3 years after surgery. Her scars are flat and soft, but continuing to fade, due to her Latina heritage and strong melanin content. She loves her outcome and feels very comfortable in her body!
