Before and after bilateral tubular breast correction via subglandular breast augmentation and liposuction of the axillary rolls in a 55-year-old woman. She had considered getting “her boobs done” forever, and now felt like the right time! Her breasts had a tubular shape, with a small size overall, a tight, constricted lower pole, high inframammary fold, low relative position of the nipples and a wide space between the breasts (more evident with her arms overhead).
To correct the tubular shape, the breast fold was lowered, resulting in a more perky appearance to the breasts and a higher relative position of the nipple and areola on the breast mound. Smooth round silicone gel breast implants were placed on top of the muscle through an incision in the fold of her breasts.
Liposuction removed excess fat from her armpits and bra rolls. Additional liposuction was done on her abdomen and flanks to further contour her figure at the same time. After surgery, she took one week off work and a full month off exercise, resuming her normal activities when the bruising was all gone (which happened at four weeks after surgery).
Follow up photos are shown 1 year after surgery, with a full, feminine, natural looking and proportional result. She regained full nipples sensation within six months. She loves her breasts - for the first time in her life!
