Before and after liposuction of the abdomen and anterior flanks in a 40-year-old woman. She initially thought she wanted/needed a tummy tuck, but since she had excellent skin tone and elasticity, but she did not have significant rectus diastasis/diastasis recti (separation of the rectus abdominis muscles that occurs after pregnancy in many women). Since most of her fat was subcutaneous, outside of her intra-abdominal cavity, she was an ideal candidate for liposuction!
Two and a half liters of excess fat was removed through several incisions hidden in skin creases. After surgery, she wore a compressive abdominal binder for a full six weeks after surgery. Follow up photos are shown 2 months after surgery, with very impressive early postoperative results!
