Before and after bilateral upper lid blepharoplasty is a 45 year old woman.  She was sick and tired of being told “you look tired” – when she wasn’t!  She was concerned about looking “weird” after surgery or changing the appearance of her eyelids drastically.  She wanted a natural looking result that no one would notice – except for HER (and that is exactly WHO you should consider Plastic Surgery for = yourself!).

A “pinch blepharoplasty” only removes excess skin that can be gently pinched between surgical forceps (after the upper eyelid skin is numbed).  No fat deposits or eyelid muscles are removed, which can create a hollowed out appearance to the eyes.

Blepharoplasty surgery is done in the office under local anesthesia and with an oral anti-anxiety medication and optional inhaled gas to take the edge of the sting of the numbing.  Excess skin was removed via an incision that lay inside her natural upper eyelid crease.

She took a full month off “social activities”, which was easy to do during a pandemic!  Follow up photos are shown 5 months after surgery.  She is relieved to still “look normal”, just less tired!
