Before and after bilateral skin sparing mastectomies and TUG flap breast reconstructions in a 52 year old woman with breast cancer. She wanted to use her own tissue for reconstruction. As a pear shape, she had more inner thigh fat than lower abdominal tissue available for use – therefore, her inner thighs were chosen as her ideal donor site.

TUG flaps were transplanted microsurgically to the chest to reconstruct her breasts at the same time as her mastectomies. The TUG flap often allows immediate nipple and areola reconstruction at the same time.

She later underwent medical tattoo of her nipples and areolas to create a brighter color. She also had an abdominoplasty to remove excess abdominal tissue in her home state. Follow up photos are shown two years after her TUG flaps with mature inner thigh scars.
