Before and after bilateral breast revision in a 54 year old woman. Her old implants had developed capsular contracture, causing distortion of her breasts and an oblong shape. The old scar around the bottom of the areola was indented and contributing to the deformity, particularly on the left. Her body had changed since her original surgery, and her breast were now asymmetric and droopy. She felt the implants were now too large for her body; she wanted a more natural looking and perkier breast.

Her breast revision involved capsulectomy to remove constricting scar tissue from around the implants, implant exchange to smaller silicone gel breast implants, a lift of her nipples and areolas via a mastopexy (bresat lift) and liposuction of her bra roll and armpit region (known as the axillary rolls).

A final step to her revision included medical tattoo to the areolas to brighten them and take attention away from her lighter areola scars. Follow up photos are shown six months after surgery.
