Before and after bilateral breast implant revision in a 71 year old very physically active woman. Her past implants “looked like torpedoes”, being under the muscle and stiff and immobile due to their textured nature. She wanted slightly smaller implants that would better match her tiny frame and to have a more natural look with actual cleavage.

Her revision involved removal of the old textured implants, replacement of her pectoralis major muscles to the chest wall, and creation of a new space for an implant on top of the muscle. Smaller smooth round silicone gel breast implants with a lower profile (less projection) were placed subglandularly.

Liposuction of the armpit region (axillary rolls) removed fat in this area as a compliment to her breast surgery.

Follow up photos are shown 6 weeks after surgery. She is returning to fitness training without restrictions. She feels like her breasts suit her better now and is very pleased with her revision results.
