Before and after bilateral mastopexy (breast lift) and augmentation in a 26 year old woman. She had lost a significant amount of weight, resulting in her breasts to be empty and deflated in comparison to their former volume. They had also developed significant droop, hanging lower than her breast fold.

She was very physically fit – in fact, her pectoralis major muscles projected further forward than her breast in the upper pole. She did not want to stop her weight lifting and was happy to learn that our preference is to make breast implants on top of the muscle, eliminating the risk of chronic muscle tightness and the animation deformity.

Smooth round silicone gel breast implants were placed in the subglandular position. Excess lower pole breast skin was removed and her nipple and areola position was lifted. Liposuction removed excess fat from her armpit area (axillary rolls) and the sides of her breasts (the back fat/bra roll).

Follow up photos are shown 14 months after surgery. Her scars are now mature and she appreciates her natural breast look and shape, and not having her breasts flex when she lifts weights!
