Before and after bilateral breast implant removal in a 31-year-old woman. She had had her breast implants in place for several years and experienced recurrent capsular contracture with related deformity. After several revision procedures, she elected to have her breast implants removed.
Explantation surgery was performed under local anesthesia, using her existing inframammary fold incision. Her breast skin rapidly contracted to assume her prior breast size and shape. She showered in two days and resumed full exercise in two weeks. Follow up photos are shown 2 months after surgery.
