43-year-old woman with left breast cancer who completed lumpectomy, radiation and chemotherapy. She tested positive for the BRCA gene and decided to undergo bilateral prophylactic mastectomies and immediate DIEP flap breast reconstructions together with prophylactic oophorectomies (ovary removal). She successfully decreased her risk of both breast cancer and ovarian cancer and achieved better breast symmetry and proportion to her figure in one major surgery. Postoperative images after later nipple and areola reconstruction(done as a minor outpatient procedure) are shown.
