Before and after left delayed implant reconstruction with right balancing augmentation in a 43-year-old breast cancer survivor. She was not offered breast reconstruction at the time of her breast cancer diagnosis, neoadjuvant chemo and non-nipple-sparing mastectomy, which is a tragedy!
Her left breast was reconstructed using a smooth round medium profile silicone gel breast implant, placed on top of the muscle in the prepectoral position. A low profile implant was placed on the right side to create the best symmetry.
Six months later, a right-to-left free nipple graft was performed to reconstruct the left nipple, and medical tattoo created a new left areola. A right crescentic areola lift was performed to accentuate her results.
Follow up photos are shown nearly 2 years after surgery. She has maturing scars and very acceptable symmetry to her breasts.
