Before and after correction of a duplicated nipple in a 27 year old woman. Accessory nipples are very common on the chest, but this patient had a duplicated nipple and part of the areola that were part of her native areola on the right breast. She was extremely self-conscious, never allowing her romantic partner to see her out of a bra.

She was thrilled to learn that Plastic Surgery could help make her areola look more normal and symmetric with the other breast! The plan for excision of the duplicated nipple and excess areola is shown together (the dots marking the area that will be numbed with an injection of local anesthetic) and the nipple and areola tissue that was excised is also shown.

Follow up photos are shown 6 weeks after surgery. She already is more comfortable undressing and is happy to apply scar gel, doing all that she can to help her scars mature and fade faster.
