Before and after bilateral breast reduction and liposuction of the axillary rolls in a 16-year-old woman. She had undergone puberty five years earlier and had significant pain and inability to perform activities of daily living due to her enlarged and ptotic (droopy) breasts. With her’s consent and psychological/emotional support, she made the decision to have breast reduction surgery.
A breast reduction removed over two pounds of excess breast tissue from each side. Her remaining breast tissue was lifted and reshaped using the auto-augmentation technique. Liposuction removed excess fat from her armpits and bra rolls. Her surgery was planned during the summer so she had a full two months to heal before she returned to school.
Follow up photos are shown 9 months after surgery. She is now able to exercise, buy normal bras and clothes, and no longer experiences unwanted attention due to the large size of her breasts.
