Before and after bilateral breast reduction and lift in a 26-year-old woman.  Her breasts were out of proportion to her relatively small frame, and their size and weight limited her from being able to exercise without two or three sports bras and from shopping for clothes without frustration and embarrassment since she could never zip up the top!

She had Grade III ptosis (the most severe grade of breast droop, where the nipples are pointing toward the floor) and macromastia (enlarged breasts causing physical pain and limitation of activities of daily living).  She wanted to be significantly smaller and to not need to wear a bra.

A breast reduction removed over two pounds of excess breast tissue per side.  Her breasts were lifted and reshaped using the auto-augmentation technique.  Liposuction removed over half a liter of excess fat from her armpits and bra rolls.

Follow up photos are shown 4 months after surgery, with incisions that are dark as expected.  They will gradually fade and flatten over the next year as her body turns over the thick and stronger collagen of immature scars and replaces it with flatter, more faded and supple collagen of mature scar tissue.
