Before and after bilateral breast reduction and liposuction of the axillary rolls in a 41 year old woman. After having children and finishing breastfeeding, her breasts seemed to keep their increased volume after pregnancy and to droop more.

A breast reduction removed excess breast tissue and fat, but kept a proportional amount of breast tissue behind so that she remained in proportion to the rest of her body. Liposuction of the bra rolls and armpits, known as the axillary rolls, complimented her breast procedure.

Early follow up photos are shown 6 weeks after surgery. Her incisions are bright pink, as she has exited the wound healing phase and entered the immature scar phase. She has been instructed on scar therapy and will apply scar gel and perform scar massage twice a day until she enters the mature scar phase, when her scars will flatten and become less red as the blood vessels recede as healing progresses.
