Before and after bilateral breast reduction in a 29 year old woman. She flew in from out of state for surgery as she did not feel comfortable with any of the surgeons she met locally. She had all the expected symptoms of macromastia.

A breast reduction reduced the size of her breasts and reshaped them to a higher position on her chest and a more youthful look. As she had not yet had children, she was relieved to know that breast feeding should still be possible and that the nerves to her nipple were preserved.

Early follow up photos are shown just 4 weeks after surgery, taken before she flew home. Marks from her bra can be seen on her breast skin, which is still swollen. It takes at least two to three months for this type of surgical swelling to fully resolve.

She was educated about scar therapy and continued to follow up remotely by text message, photographs and phone calls. Over the next several months, her breast shape will round out at the bottom and look shapelier and even nicer!
