Before and after bilateral breast augmentation and liposuction of the axillary rolls in a 40-year-old woman. After breastfeeding her children, she lost the former fullness of her breasts. She wanted a natural looking result, where it would not be obvious to others that she had had a “boob job.”
Smooth round silicone gel breast implants were placed on top of the muscle, in the subglandular position. Liposuction removed excess fat from her armpits and bra rolls.
Follow up photos are shown 3 months after surgery, with natural looking proportional results. Because of her natural skin tone, her incisions are darker than the surrounding skin. This is called “post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.”
Her incisions will gradually fade over the next year or two as she continues to heal. For now, she can conceal them with makeup if she wears a sleeveless top. She has begun scar therapy and is getting nipple sensation back.
