Before and after bilateral mastopexy (breast lift) and breast augmentation with liposuction of the axillary rolls in a 31-year-old woman with breast ptosis (droop), loss of volume and breast asymmetry. Her breasts also had a tubular shape, including a constricted breast footprint, a wide space between them and a high breast fold.
Her tubular breast correction involved placement of smooth round silicone gel breast implants on top of the muscle, in the subglandular position. Her areola diameter was reduced, and her nipples were lifted, resulting in a lollipop scar. Liposuction removed excess fat from her armpits and bra rolls.
After surgery, she took several weeks off work and avoided lifting more than five pounds for a full month after surgery. She started scar therapy when all scabs were gone – at seven weeks postop.
Follow up photos are shown 6 months after surgery, with flat incisions that are still pink as expected, as blood vessels are dilated during the first year or two of healing.
