Before and after bilateral breast augmentation and left crescentic periareolar mastopexy with liposuction of the axillary rolls in a 55-year-old woman with breast asymmetry and deflation of her breasts.

Her goal was to restore volume in her breasts that had depleted after breastfeeding her three children.  She was starting to slow down at work and consider future retirement in the second half of her fifties, and was ready to focus some time, attention and resources on herself.  A combined breast augmentation and lift of the left nipple-areolar complex was planned together with liposuction of her bra rolls and armpits.

Her “mid-life makeover” and Mommy Makeover consisted of insertion of silicone gel breast implants on top of the muscle, in the subglandular position.  A crescentic incision above the left areola lifted the nipple up to be more symmetric with the right nipple.  Liposuction removed fat from the axillary rolls, including her armpits.

After surgery, she took two weeks off work to recover and resumed unrestricted exercise at one month postop.  Follow up photos are shown 1 month after surgery.  She will begin scar therapy in a few weeks and see us next at the three month point.
