Before and after bilateral breast implant reconstruction/augmentation in a 58-year-old breast cancer survivor with positive margins. She had considered a mastectomy for her right breast cancer but elected to have removal of the tumor (lumpectomy) instead of the entire breast.

At the same time as re-excision of the lumpectomy site to achieve clear margins, smooth round silicone gel breast implants were placed on top of the muscle, in the subglandular (prepectoral) position using an incision in the fold under the breasts.

Follow up photos are shown 2 weeks after surgery. She has begun implant massage and already loves her fuller breasts!
