Before and after labiaplasty in a 31-year-old woman. She experienced discomfort when she exercised and had sex. She was looking for a very natural look to her vaginal region, and was thrilled she didn’t need to go to sleep for surgery!
Labiaplasty is offered to our patients under local anesthesia in our Quad A-certified operating room, with an all-female team and the additional comfort of inhaled laughing gas and an oral anti-anxiety medication. Excess labia minora tissue was trimmed. Dissolving sutures are used in three layers to carefully repair the labia minora to create a normal, natural looking result that is not obvious to others.
We see patients in follow up at 2 weeks after surgery, 6 weeks, 3 months and at one year after surgery. We recommend one week of very quiet activity at home after surgery and avoiding straining, exercise and heart rate/blood pressure elevation for three weeks after surgery. Showering can resume the day after labiaplasty but no submerging in water for at least a month.
Follow up photos are shown 6 weeks after surgery. She is back exercising, she feels normal and sex feels great!
