Before and after revision abdominoplasty after an unfortunate result elsewhere.  This patient had problems healing, infection and skin loss that took nearly a year to heal in on its own.  She waited several years and did her homework before seeking correction of her belly appearance.

This tummy tuck revision involved a return to the operating room to remove all contracted skin and scar and to redo the internal aspects of a tummy tuck (repair of rectus diastasis, redraping of skin, reinset of the belly button) which were not performed at the initial procedure.  Liposuction of the surrounding areas completed the procedure.

Her abdominal drains were in place for 6 days after surgery.  She was relieved to not have any of the same complications as per her last surgery.  follow up photos are shown 6 months after surgery.  She is actively doing scar therapy and has returned to wearing swim suits and exercise.
