Before and after bilateral mastopexy with liposuction of the axillary rolls in a 52-year-old woman. She wanted her breasts to look like they did in a bra, but not larger or smaller. A breast lift does just that – it lifts and reshapes the breasts via the auto-augmentation technique, so that the breasts sit higher up on the chest wall.
Liposuction removed fat from her armpits and bra rolls. After surgery, she took three weeks off work and did not resume exercise for a full month. She started applying scar gel twice daily once all her scabs were gone.
Early follow up photos are shown 2 months after surgery, with immature pink scars that are composed of immature collagen. Over the next year, the immature collagen will gradually get replaced with mature collagen, which is less red, less raised, flatter, softer and faded.
