Before and after abdominoplasty and liposuction of the abdomen in a 33-year-old mother of three.  She was in great shape and naturally slender but had developed rectus diastasis after her pregnancies.  She felt her core was not as strong and effective as it used to be and wanted to get her formerly flat belly back.

Together with a breast augmentation and lift during a Mommy Makeover, an abdominoplasty repaired her rectus abdominis muscles back together in the midline, removed a small amount of excess lower abdominal skin and redraped her abdominal wall skin snugly downward.

Liposuction removed fat from her central abdomen and pubic region.  Her umbilicus (belly button) was brought out through a new skin opening, like a button through a buttonhole.  The old navel opening was closed as a vertical incision in her lower abdomen.  She did not have enough excess lower abdominal skin to remove the old belly button site.

Follow up photos are shown 1 year after surgery, with mature scars and a natural looking, athletic, aesthetic tummy tuck result.
