Before and after bilateral breast reduction and lift with liposuction of the axillary rolls in a 51-year-old woman. She had deep shoulder grooves from decades of her heavy breasts pulling downward on her shoulder straps of her bra.
She wanted a major reduction and lift, and was an excellent candidate for surgery, given that she was physically healthy, had lots of time she could take off work, and her children were grown and out of the house.
A breast reduction removed several pounds of excess breast tissue in total, and liposuction removed a full liter of fat from her armpits and bra rolls. After surgery, she avoided using her arms for exercise and gardening for a full six weeks.
Follow up photos are shown a year and a half after surgery, with mature, faded and flat scars. Her shoulder grooves have already started to recover, and she enjoys being able to go without a bra!
