Before and after post-weight loss fleur-de-lis vertical abdominoplasty and liposuction in a 35-year-old woman who had lost 110 pounds prior to meeting us through major lifestyle changes and hard work – well before today’s GLP-1 medications and without undergoing other weight loss surgeries that are currently available.

Her post-weight loss body contouring involved excision of three kilograms of excess skin and fat from her lower and mid-abdomen, known as a “pannus.”  Her rectus abdominis muscles were repaired back together in the midline, and her abdominal wall skin was redraped downward to achieve a smoother abdominal wall contour.

A “monsplasty” (excision of excess pubic skin and fat) and lifting of her remaining pubic region was incorporated into the abdominoplasty.  Her belly button, formerly hidden in a deep roll of abdominal skin, was preserved on its blood supply and brought out through a new skin opening, creating an incision around the umbilical circumference.

Liposuction removed excess fat from her remaining abdominal wall, pubic region and upper inner thighs.  Follow up photos are shown 1 year after surgery, with mature scars, a smooth abdominal contour and an entirely new physique!
