Before and after bilateral mastopexy with liposuction of the axillary rolls in a 43-year-old woman with congenital breast asymmetry. She had droopy breasts and was looking for a lifted and natural looking breast without being significantly larger or smaller. She was a candidate for an auto-augmentation breast lift.
This technique removes skin and performs a three-dimensional lift to the breasts, reshaping her breast as per a breast lift (but using our patient’s own tissue) and moving her tissue into a pocket higher up on the chest, just as for a subglandular breast augmentation.
Follow up photos are shown 3 years after surgery, with mature scars and her final result. Despite perimenopausal weight gain, she has maintained a very acceptable aesthetic result and stable lift to her breasts.
