Before and after mini-abdominoplasty with liposuction of the abdomen, flanks, pubic region, inner and outer thighs in a 35-year-old woman. After having children, she had accumulated excess fat in her lower body, and her C-section had left an uneven shelf of tissue in the lower abdominal area. She wanted to get rid of her “pooch” and have an improved lower body contour in general.
A mini-abdominoplasty trimmed excess skin and fat from her lower abdomen, but did not repair her rectus abdominis muscles, since she had minimal rectus diastasis after just one pregnancy. Her C-section scar was redone and made slightly longer in order to remove as much excess tissue as possible.
Liposuction removed nearly five liters of fat from her upper and lower abdomen, pubic region, circumferential flanks including her lower back rolls, inner thighs, outer thighs, arms and the banana roll of excess fat under her buttock crease. After surgery, she took a full month off work to recover and began remote work from home at two weeks.
Long-term follow up photos are shown 1 year after surgery, with mature scars and a very acceptable result. The last photo shows the actual fat that was removed during her surgery.
