Before and after liposuction of the neck in a 41-year-old woman. She wanted to improve the contour of her neck but to minimize downtime.
Liposuction of the neck is offered to patients as an awake surgery procedure, under local anesthesia with an oral anti-anxiety medication and inhaled laughing gas. After surgery, she wore a compressive chin strap for two weeks and resumed exercise when all her bruising had resolved (three weeks).
Long-term follow up photos are shown 3 years after surgery. She has maintained her results and is so happy she did not have to go to sleep for surgery!
