Before and after mastopexy and liposuction in the axillary rolls in a 34-year-old woman. Her breasts had lost their shape and structure after breastfeeding her children. She was looking for a lifted look to her breasts without an implant, and to have a natural teardrop shape as her outcome.
A breast lift using the auto-augmentation technique lifted her breasts and reshaped them internally via local tissue rearrangement. Liposuction removed fat from her armpits and bra rolls. After surgery, she hired extra help with her children for three weeks since she was a full-time parent at home.
Follow up photos are shown 1 year after surgery. She has lost some pigment in her left areola, which can happen with any pigmented skin after surgery. The pigment cells called melanocytes usually wake up gradually and begin producing pigment again with time – this can take several years. In the meantime, she is a candidate for paramedical tattoo to fill in the missing color.
