Before and after bilateral breast augmentation revision in a 27-year-old woman with tubular breasts. Her previously placed saline breast implants had developed asymmetry and capsular contracture since they were placed over ten years ago. Her goals were to be fuller and rounder, with improved symmetry, and to switch to silicone gel breast implants.
Using her existing scar under the breast in the natural breast fold, her old implants were removed and capsulectomy opened up the breast pocket. New smooth round silicone gel breast implants were placed on top of the muscle, in the subglandular position.
A skin-only mastopexy on both sides created improved symmetry to her nipples and areolas by creating a lollipop scar on both sides. Follow up photos are shown 5 years after surgery, with mature scars and durable, natural looking results.
