Before and after bilateral breast reduction and lift with liposuction of the axillary rolls in an 18-year-old woman. She was graduating high school and ready to take a break from sports, studying and partying to dedicate a full month to healing.
To say her breasts were large, out of proportion to her body and heavy was an understatement – she had to sleep in a bra and take over-the-counter pain medication daily due to pain in her shoulders, neck and upper back due to her breasts.
A breast reduction removed over a pound and a half of excess breast tissue from each side. Her breasts were lifted and reshaped using the auto-augmentation technique. Liposuction removed fat from her armpits and bra rolls to complete the procedure.
Long-term follow up photos are shown over 3 years after surgery, with nearly mature scars, and a stable, perky and natural looking result. Teenage scars often take several years to fully fade, flatten and become less red due to more significant collagen deposition in younger patients.
