Before and after bilateral nipple and areola reconstruction in a 36 year old breast cancer survivor.  She previously had undergone bilateral mastectomies, chemotherapy and radiation therapy.

A few years later she had DIEP flap breast reconstructions and was ready for her second stage of reconstruction, which included free fat grafting and bilateral sub-flap implant placement to increase her final breast volume to her pre-cancer state.

Her nipples were reconstructed by the local flap “modified star flap” technique and her areolas by way of medical tattoo.

Follow up photos are shown two months after surgery.  Her nipples are maintaining good projection and her areola tattoo pigment is beginning to fade to a more normal and natural hue.
