Before and after tubular breast correction with a breast augmentation and lift in a 33 year old woman. She had not had children but looked and “felt deflated”, and always felt that her breasts were misshapen, too small for her frame and unsightly. Like many women with tubular breasts, she expressed “I just want to feel normal”.

Smooth round silicone gel breast implants were placed on top of the muscle, in the subglandular position. A periareolar mastopexy lifted her nipples to a higher position on the breast.

Follow up photos are shown three months postoperatively. Her incisions are pink as expected; they will take at least a full year to fade. Her areolas are somewhat stretched and flaccid – there are motor nerves in the areola that normally create constriction of the areola upon touch or exposure to cold.
These nerves will wake up, often around the same time that sensory nerves to the nipple recover.

At one year or later after surgery, her areolas will constrict normally and change size and shape with cold or touch, making her results looks even nicer! For now, she is thrilled with her early results, and so are we!
