45-year-old woman with a history of right breast cancer, chemotherapy, and placement of a submuscular tissue expander that prevented her from lifting weights and teaching her fitness classes without muscular strain and discomfort. Her right implant was removed, her pectoralis major muscle was reconstructed to its native position on her chest wall, and an SIEA flap reconstructed her right breast. A left-sided breast lift was done at the same time for symmetry. Her right nipple and areola has recently been reconstructed. Residual swelling can be seen in both breasts (note the markings from her brassiere) that takes months to completely resolve. She returned to fitness instruction and improved her overall physical fitness, seen in her toned abdominal wall!
