Before and after inverted nipple repair in a 28 year old woman. Just one side was affected. Her inverted nipple and the asymmetry between her breasts contributed to self-consciousness in intimate situations. She had not yet had children and wanted to preserve sensation and the ability to breast feed (the two very important functions of the breast!).

Inverted nipple correction surgery was done in the office as a minor procedure under local anesthesia. She took the next day off work and just Tylenol for postoperative discomfort.

Follow up images are shown 3 months after surgery. The scar is well-concealed in the base of the nipple. She regained sensation within a month and her ability to breast feed was preserved by taking a conservative approach.
