Before and after breast reduction in a 65 year old woman with very large, pendulous breasts and a significant amount of fat in her bra roll and armpit areas. She had only recently thought about having a breast reduction because of debilitating back pain, neck pain and shoulder pain that was mostly due to a back injury but was exacerbated by her macromastia (large and heavy breasts).

A breast reduction removed heavy and unnecessary breast tissue from the bottom and the sides of her breasts. Good fullness and cleavage was maintained in the upper pole. Liposuction removed excess fat in the axillary rolls and back fat/bra roll regions to compliment her procedure.

Early follow up images are shown at nearly 2 months after surgery. Her incisions are pink, as they are fresh scars. She has just begun scar therapy, which she will continue for the next 3 to 6 months or until all scars are faded and flat. Her back, neck and shoulder pain is nearly completely gone!
