Before and after bilateral breast reconstruction by the local tissue rearrangement method (breast reduction and lift) technique in a 55 year old woman.  Her right breast cancer was to be treated by lumpectomy and radation therapy.  A combined Plastic Surgery and General Surgery procedure was planned for this patient.

Following removal of the tumor by lumpectomy, the remainder of her right breast tissue was rearranged as a mastopexy.  A balancing left breast reduction and liposuction of the sides of her breasts completed the procedure.

follow up photos are shown one year after surgery.  Note the right radiated scars are lighted and more faded than the non-radiated side - this is a rare expected benefit of radiation on scars!
