Before and after Mommy Makeover surgery in a 45-year-old mother of two. After she finished having children and felt comfortable taking a month off work and a step back from being the go-to parent to drive her kids to school and after-school activities, she met with us to discuss a procedure that was tailored to her specific goals: smaller, lifted breasts and a flatter tummy.

A breast reduction achieved just that – a reduction of her breast volume and reshaping of her breasts using the auto-augmentation technique. A lower abdominal scar revision corrected an indented scar from two C-sections. Liposuction removed excess unwanted fat from her axillary rolls (the armpits and bra rolls), her upper and lower abdomen, pubic region, and flanks (love handles).

After surgery, she left the childcare to her husband and nanny. She told work she was having surgery, and on our suggestion, called it a “hernia repair” – which is a socially acceptable procedure, and what we recommend our patients use as an excuse at work or to tell others in order to protect their confidentiality, but to also protect them from returning to work and other activities too soon.

Mommy Makeovers do not necessarily need to involve breast implants. Each Plastic Surgery procedure we offer patients is tailored to their anatomy, their individual goals and available downtime for surgery.

Long-term follow up photos are shown 2 years after surgery, with mature scars and her final results.
