Before and after liposuction in a 52 year old woman. As part of her Mommy Makeover, she wanted to tackle these stubborn collections of fat that she could not exercise or diet away, no matter how strict she was.
Liposuction of her flanks (also known as the “muffin top” or “love handles”) was done in the operating room together with a tummy tuck. Once this fat is removed by liposuction, it is gone permanently!
Follow up photos are shown 9 months after surgery. She still has some firm areas of swelling called edema that continue to soften gradually. She loves her new figure and can fit into clothes easily, with a more slender – but still curvy – body contour!
