Patient # 255

Before and after bilateral tubular breast correction via breast augmentation and periareolar mastopexy/breast lift in a 27-year-old woman. Her breasts were relative small compared to the rest of her body, they had a tubular shape, a high breast fold, enlarged areola and a wide space between them.

Like many of our patients with naturally tubular breasts, she expressed that she cared less about the actual size of her breasts after breast augmentation; instead she just wanted to “look normal”. Smooth round silicone gel breast implants were placed on top of the muscle, in the subglandular position, using an incision hidden in the fold of her breasts.

A second incision around her nipples and areolas helped to “push back” some of her puffy areolar tissue and redraped her conical breast skin around a round, projecting implant. Long-term follow up photos are shown 9 years after surgery, with mature scars, a proportional and natural looking result, and a happy patient!
