Patient # 257

Patient # 257
Before and after bilateral breast augmentation and liposuction of the axillary rolls in a 50-year-old woman with congenital pectus excavatum (caved-in sternum) and chest wall asymmetry/scoliosis. Her ribs were sunken in on one side compared to the other, which amplified her dislike of her relatively small and significantly deflated postpartum breasts.
A specialized approach was taken for her breast augmentation, given her chest wall difference. Smooth round silicone gel breast implants were placed on top of the muscle, in the subglandular position through an incision hidden in her breast fold. A high profile implant was placed on the more depressed side, and a moderate plus implant on the more projecting side. Liposuction permanently removed fat from her armpits and bra rolls.
Long-term follow up photos are shown 4 years after surgery with a beautiful, natural looking and proportional result.
