Before and after breast revision in a 56 year old woman with a history of silicone gel breast augmentation 30 years ago. Both of her implant shells had broken down inside their pocket and she had bilateral Grade IV capsular contracture (hardening of scar tissue around the implants causing pain). She wished to have removal and replacement of her implants with the newest generation breast implants.

A bilateral total capsulectomy with removal of the old ruptured silicone implants and placement of the newest generation more cohesive silicone gel implants was performed. Follow up images are seen one month after surgery. Her implants were kept in the subglandular position. She is now pain-free and feels and looks much more natural!
