Patient # 115
Before and after bilateral auto-augmentation mastopexy (breast lift) with liposuction of the axillary rolls in a 30-year-old woman with congenital breast ptosis (droop) which worsened after weight loss. She was planning her wedding and wanted to have lifted, natural looking breasts with nicer cleavage for her wedding – and not to need to wear a bra under her backless wedding dress!
A breast lift only removed excess skin but internally lifted, rearranged and reshaped her breast tissue so that it was higher on her chest, rounder and perkier – but maintained a natural teardrop shape. Her areola diameter was reduced, but she maintained normal sensation to the nipples. She was also pleased to learn that breastfeeding should still be possible.
Liposuction permanently removed fat from her armpits and bra rolls. After surgery, she took several weeks off work and got married eight months later! Follow up photos are shown 10 months after surgery. Her scars are light brown but are starting to mature. She loves her breasts, for the first time ever!
