Before and after abdominoplasty in a 39 year old mother. Her belly, which had always been her strong point, had lost its tone and shape post-pregnancy.
A tummy tuck repaired her rectus abdominis muscles back together in the midline, effectively giving her a waist again. Excess skin was removed and her abdominal wall was redraped tightly downward. Her belly button was inset in a natural location, and liposuction of the abdomen, pubic region, flanks and upper inner thighs completed her procedure.
Follow up photos are shown 6 months postoperatively. She is back exercising and wearing two piece swim suits again! At one year, the surgical swelling will be completely reabsorbed and her scars should be mature.
