Before and after MACS lift with liposuction of the neck in a 65-year-old woman. She not only felt like she had a double chin, she claimed she had three chins! She did not want to look pulled too tight or to change her appearance to look like someone else – instead, she wanted to sculpt her jawline and not feel so self-conscious about her neck.
A MACS lift resuspended the deep tissues of the face and neck, known as the SMAS, back to a more youthful position. Excess skin was removed, and the skin was draped upward in a natural vector. Liposuction removed excess fat from her submental region (under her chin) and her jowls.
Early follow up photos are shown just 1 month after surgery. With more time, her surgical swelling will fully resorb, and she will be able to see her final results.
