  1. Before and after neck lift (MACS lift) in a 55 year old woman. She noticed the development of jowls and loose, crepe-like neck skin, with loss of definition of her jawline. She did not want to end up looking like her grandmother did!

A neck lift performed using the MACS technique (minimal access cranial suspension) lifted her SMAS layer of fatty tissue beneath the skin in an upward direction and gave her a more youthful, defined jawline.

Follow up photos are shown at one month after surgery. Her incisions are hidden in front of her ear and under her side burn. Bruising resolved within 2 weeks and most of her surgical swelling is gone. She took 2 weeks of “social downtime” and has started scar therapy.
