Before and after liposuction of the abdomen in a 38-year-old woman. She had always been athletic and lean but had an annoying accumulation of belly fat that did not go away, even when she was her thinnest.
Liposuction permanently removed fat from her midsection during a two-hour outpatient surgery under general anesthesia at the same time as a breast revision procedure. After surgery, she took three weeks off exercise and wore compression under her clothes for six weeks.
Follow up photos are shown 1 year after surgery. She now has the flat, firm abdomen she always wanted!
